On entering our Kindergarten room you will struck by the size and variety of learning centres all within one classroom. Providing the best learning environment Public Education has to offer, our Kindy room is double the size of a regular classroom, with internal toilet, wet area, computer station, massive floor 'learning circle' as well as three groupings of tables for graded and group work. We even have a fully furnished 'Playhouse' where students can roleplay, developing their social and life skills through co operative play. Our 'Dress-Up' area provides a selection of costumes, from super heroes to hoola dancers. An Interactive Smartboard ( an absolute necessity in teaching the modern curriculum ) is used in most daily lessons as a highly visual and motivating teaching tool when introducing new concepts, as well as for practise and consolidation activities that reinforce class work. Our computer area has five new computers with internet access as well as five more 'mature' yet reliable computers, which we use for our interactive educational software and word processing. Then there are the many boxes of construction and design materials, as well as a great selection of 'creative and social play' toys. Our classroom is a wonderful, warm and stimulating environment where young children in their initial years of formal education develop a love for learning and a positive attitude to school.
